About Temperament Testing
Temperament testing Mini Bernese Puppies:
Between 6-7 weeks I will be temperament testing your puppy. It is a series of 8 tests conducted where we (a stranger & myself) are observing the response of each puppy when tested. How does puppy respond to a stranger and a new environment as we do each test observing a series of puppy responses.
Temperaments are as follows: Bold, Confident, Friendly, Gentle, Shy & Aloof
My Mini Bernese tend to be in the testing result range of sometimes confident & sometimes gentle, occasionally a little bit of shy, most common is friendly. Rarely Bold & never aloof. How can a Cavalier King Charles be shy? Don’t they always wag their tails? Meet my puppies! They always are wagging their tail!! After Mini Bernese Puppy Temperament testing we begin the choosing process. Most times I will be helping you in the process of choosing your Puppy based on your needs expressed. For instance if you really are needing a gentle, cooperative puppy because you have small children & other pets I will do my best to help with that. It is important to join the waitlist early if you need a special temperament like that. Within a litter of 10 puppies I may have 2 in that full temperament range.

However, if you are making a puppy deposit for a puppy from an anticipated litter, and the anticipated puppy becomes unavailable, Daisy View Puppies will refund your entire deposit or offer the option of replacing the puppy with another puppy from a current or future litter.
By reserving a puppy, you agree to the terms of the Daisy View Puppies Contract. Puppy deposits are non-refundable.
Miniature Bernese Puppies make great companions. A mini Bernese Takes on the wonderful nature of a Bernese Mountain Dog companion and the friendly companion of a Cavalier King Charles. Mini Bernese Puppies grow up to be affectionate and loving with a desire to please making a Mini Bernese a great companion. Mini Bernese are smaller than our 80 lb – 100 lb Bernese Mountain Dog moms. Mini Bernese Puppies are expected to be 45 lb – 65 lb depending on mom and dad.

Crate Conditioned: Our Mini Bernese Puppies are crate conditioned to make crate training much easier for you.
Potty Conditioned: Our Mini Bernese Puppies are potty conditioned to make potty training much easier for you.
Chew Toy Conditioned: Our Mini Bernese Puppies are chew toy conditioned to enjoy chew toys.
What does it mean to be conditioned?
Crate conditioned means your puppy has been exposed to the crate. The crate is usually in with the puppies and the puppies are free to come and go. The door is not shut. Crate conditioning begins when the weaning process begins.
Potty conditioned means after the puppies have begun weaning they are provided with a special area within their weaning pen to go potty and poo. This greatly helps with potty training so they are accustomed to going in a designated area. This later transfers to going outside in their new home. If you are in an apartment and unable to always go outside they are already trained to use a designated tray area.
Chew toy conditioned means your puppy has had optional access to a variety of chew toy options. Chew toys are important during the teething stage and growing into adult dogs.
Dew Claws are removed at 3 days to prevent the chance of future painful injury. I provide Standard up to date Vaccination and deworming. Puppies are Microchipped. Puppies are vet checked and Vet Health Papers are provided and go home with each puppy. There is an optional 2 year Health Guarantee of no life-threatening inherited disorders developing in your puppy in the first 2 years. All puppies are Guarantee for 1 year of no life-threatening inherited disorders regardless.
Parents are bred to create genetic free puppies from 5 different genetic tests. Caviler King Charles can be prone to CDDY-IVDD which is the increased risk for intervertebral disease. Bernese do not carry this genetic. How that may affect the mini Bernese is not known at this time. They may have an increased risk like the Caviler and they may not. A typical sign can be very short legs.
Temperament and Personality Tested: At 6-7 weeks puppies will be temperament tested.
A $400 deposit that goes toward you final cost will hold your place on the wait list. Deposit is non-refundable unless I do not have available puppies within 6 months of agreed timing or other agreed upon situation. We try our best to have puppies available as planned but sometimes it doesn’t happen as we planned. We are disappointed too! Lots of time and expense goes into breeding each litter including daily maintaining through the whole year. We desire the best of health in mom and dad.

Additional Training: Do you prefer your Mini Bernese puppy to begin their training with me? I offer an extra 1 to 2 weeks of training beginning at 6 or 7 weeks.
This includes crate training for overnight and 2-3 hours each day.
I will begin Potty training. This involves taking puppy outside to potty on a schedule. This begins a pattern to follow. The puppy will not come to you knowing what it needs to do at your house. You need to take charge of the puppy and follow the guidelines I give. If you choose to allow more freedom too soon or differently the outcome will be different. Beginning Potty training does not give you a potty trained puppy. It does begin a pattern for the puppy to become accustomed too. Some puppies respond more quickly and easily than other puppies.
If time permits they will begin learning to sit and wait. Potty Training means lots of treats. I love to use their kibble for treats. The 1st command puppy learns surrounding potty training is sit & the motion that encourages them to sit. Sit is also teaching calm. They quickly learn that if they sit in front of me they will get a treat. When I don’t give a treat right a way they are willing to sit and wait in anticipation for that treat. They are beginning to learn calm.
Miniature Bernese Puppies For Sale Additional Training:
Additional training using a small play pen area and a crate inside play pen area. This is creating a small secure area that feels safe in the puppies little world. Puppy begins to learn that when puppy goes outside it is potty time. Puppy has already learned that inside my crate it is quiet, secure and safe. A place to rest with my litter mates. When training, puppy begins to learn that there are times in my crate with out the freedom to come and go.
Puppy has already been conditioned to use a specific potty area inside a play pen area with puppies litter mates. As puppies gets older around 5 weeks they are beginning to have outside play time as weather permits. They begin to get use to the idea that when we go outside it is potty time. Puppy has already been conditioned to learn that inside my crate it is quiet, secure and safe. A place to rest with my litter mates. A place to come and go.
Additional Training does not mean they will come potty trained as this can take time till they can be trusted depending on each puppy personality and consistency of parental supervision and training. Mini Bernese are very smart dogs. They usually are capable of learning quickly provided they don’t have unsupervised free roaming in their new home.
Each day they should have opportunity to have some supervised time in a bigger area where you can be with them. Mini Bernese puppies need consistent training before they are prepared to have free roaming of their new home. Puppies need a safe area to be contained and given more space as they learn and can be trusted. A small room or small play yard with their crate inside creates a safe place to go. Free roaming before they are ready can set them up for accidents. Being able to crate them, after they have been let out to potty, when you are not available to pay attention to them is very helpful.

Healthy Puppies are very important to me! At the start of the weaning process the puppies are introduced to kibble.

All Transports: I use ground service transport door to door for all transport.
Transport cost $300-$400 depending on your location
If you desire other transport such as someone personally flying my puppy to you in cabin.
The fly in cost is $400-$700 and requires a quote for your location.
